Protein Bars - Makes 8 servings
2 cups quick oats
4 scoops whey protein powder – any flavor
½ cup all natural peanut butter
½ cup water
1 tbsp Vanilla (optional)
¼ silvered almonds (optional)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl .
Line square baking pan with wax paper and spread dough into small pan – bread pan works great or something smaller than half a cookie sheet.
Freeze for 60 minutes.
Remove and cut into bars.
Natural Peanut Butter – make sure to look at the ingredients on the back of the container. If you see more than peanuts and salt it is not natural peanut butter. I enjoy Adams peanut butter which you can get at any local grocery store. I usually got to a health food store with a machine that grinds up fresh almonds or peanuts than you know there is not any extra preservatives.
I was filming with MTV this past weekend and had a few of the girls who never drink protein shakes try these bars; they LOVED them. Give these a try and hopefully they will replace you need for chips or candy bars.

I absolutely LOVE these protein bars! I eat clean and these are a great alternative to granola bars or high calorie/high sugar protein bars…and best of all the ingredients are all staples in my pantry. Thanks for sharing!

Hi–I made these for Christmas brunch. They tasted great but I am having a heck of a time getting them to “set”. As soon as I pull them out of the freezer they get very gooey and runny. Any suggestions? Thanks for the recipes, they are great!
