Creative with Oats

  1. Mix oats with a scoop of your favorite protein.  This makes a great post workout shake or can be used as one of your small meals.  Make sure to take out the blender ball or the oatmeal will get clumped in the ball.
  2. Mix 1/4 cup of applesauce over cooked oats top with cinnamon add sugar if needed.
  3. Mix Oats and tuna with your favorite seasoning.
  4. Oats mixed with Honey.  Honey is a natural sweetener and a little goes a long way.
  5. Dry oats, egg whites and vanilla extract make great pancakes.  Use a hot griddle instead of stovetop.
  6. Cooked Oats mixed with 1 scoop of vanilla protein topped with cinnamon.
  7. Cook oats and top with some pumpkin filling.  Pumpkin has so many health benefits this mixture is a way to combine two great foods.
  8. Oats with a tablespoon natural peanut butter and one scoop of chocolate protein.  This mixture tastes like a no bake cookie.
  9. Oats mixed with homemade Jelly.

There may seem like a limited amount of foods to choose from when eating clean but with a little bit of creativity there are an infinite amount of fun recipes. Remember to always have your carbohydrates with a protein. It is best to never have a carbohydrate by itself. So with the above ideas make sure to find a protein source to put with your oatmeal.
